absences and make-ups

My child will miss a class, will they be able to attend a make-up?

This is a long answer, so bear with me. Make-up classes can be difficult to arrange, but as long as we know ahead of time, we will try to accommodate when we can. If you know your child will miss their designated class time, please let us know BEFORE the missed class by texting 801-347-7455. This helps us keep track of what students will be missing classes, and allows us to offer make ups in classes with missing students. My analogy is this: your child has a guaranteed seat on an airplane for the class time they have signed up for each week. If they can't come/won't occupy that seat, and they want to change their "flight" (class time), the earlier you let us know, the better. We are happy to try and often we are able to find an "empty seat on another flight" aka: time for a make up class when another student will be absent. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee that make ups will be possible as there are times when there are no absences and therefore no options for make ups. We need to keep the classes consistent in size and quality, and we cannot overload a class by adding make up students to an already full class. The one thing we CAN guarantee is your child's spot in the class they signed up for each week!
